Dolch’s first grade list includes 41 high frequency words. Scholars recommend reviewing previously taught words so plan to review the words on prior lists as you progress to more advanced lists. Loulou isn’t crazy about them but we are getting better with some practice. After a child masters the words on the pre-primer and primer list, proceed to first grade. Their plan is working because I see these words in my sleep. Sight words… I’m not sure what to say about them other than I think they were devised by some secret think tank to drive me personally crazy.
